When we created Outsized Opinions, our goal was to deliver a better experience for survey takers while allowing them more ways to earn. We also sought to eliminate the most worrisome elements of data quality concerns for our Outsized Insights customers — and we did both!
Eliminating the incentive to cheat through postal-delivered verification
At Outsized Opinions, cashing out an initial gift card requires validating a physical mailing address, and verifying the member’s home location. This requirement effectively eliminates the incentive for overseas fraud.
- When a member reaches 50% of the points needed to cash out, we send a postcard with a secure pin code to their account. Only pincode-validated recipients can cash out their first gift card!
- If a member changes their address, it triggers a new pin code to confirm their new location!
Reimagining Earnings With Fundraising!
Outsized Opinions has created an innovative way for our members to raise money for their favorite cause or charity. Members can establish a fundraising campaign, and invite friends and family to contribute their points earned by taking surveys to the reason!
Using a fundraising referral code, all points earned during the campaign are contributed to the cause. Once the campaign reaches a minimum goal (or time expires), Outsized sends the charity a check for the amount earned!
